Happy 8 months

Can you believe it!! These little angels are already 8 months??? Linc is crawling around and Tatum is starting to rock on her knees. Carter still falls-- pretty hard too. Can't gracefully fall to the stomach position. But when he is down he is a good roller and bounces backwards across the floor.

With my mom here and having an extra hand.... we went swimming in the backyard in a little blow up pool we got. They LOVED it. We will definitely have to do that more often. But they have just grown so much. They are getting fun and full of emotion.

Here are some

Hopefully this works out ok. There are pics from our hike, the graduation dinner, Graduation!!, Pinetop... I think that will be it for now..... We are SO going to miss all our friends we've made in Colorado. I hope everyone will still keep in touch and let us know how things are going. And we'll do our best with our crazy new life. An update, Oklahoma is going great. We have some great neighbors that have offered dinner and are more than welcome to help with babies. Yeah!! I was getting a little stressed being all alone again. I have been more than spoiled that past couple months with help. The area is BEAUTIFUL. No mountains, but it is so green. We have a great backyard and some good windows to look The weather will take some adjusting, very hot and humid. We've been told this is unusually hot for June, I hope this isn't a terrible summer and that is only gets warmer. Maybe August won't be as bad as usual. We got a couple rooms arranged yesterday but there is plenty more today. I guess this is my break.

Where did May go??

I didn't realize how long it has been since the blog got updated, but it hasn't been first priority so I'm really not surprised. We have had some fun, but busy couple of weeks. After being excited about getting a house in Oklahoma- it was a little more exciting to pack up our house knowing we have someplace to go. But as packing goes, isn't all that fun. That went on for a couple weeks and will still be going on for a week or two. My mom came into town the week before graduation and was a lot of help with the packing, but we also got a little break with her and took advantage of Colorado one more time. My mom, Ben and I each got a kid and we hiked St. Mary's Glacier. It wasn't a long hike, but there was snow everywhere so that made slipping easy and it cold. However, it was beautiful and well worth it.
The next big event Ben graduating. Yeah!! He got a scholarship and an honor for being in the top 10%. He is such a hard worker, even when things come a bit easier for him. What a great accomplishment- Way to go Dr. Ben!! We are very proud of You!! He has been a great Husband and an especially fantastic Dad. Then we drove to Arizona during the night and the babies slept the WHOLE WAY!! It was great. Luckily we didn't sleep, but it was the best way to go. Spent a couple days in Pinetop with the McDowell crew, then home to Mesa with some Skousen's. The best part about the past couple weeks was the actual vacation we got. No kids for 8 days and got to play in the Caribbean with friends. Life doesn't get much better than that. We missed the kids- they really do grow in a week- but knew they were in good hands. What a deserved Break!! We stopped in Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize- Key West, Florida. Did some Scuba, snorkeling, ziplining through the jungle, swimming, shopping, sleeping, dancing, eating ice cream...it was great. Here is one pic of us and one of the kids.... I need to find out how to work the slide show option to show off more fun pics. Maybe when life settles down a bit more and I have access to more pictures. We still have to drive back to Denver sometime and move to Oklahoma and unpack. So don't forget to check in with us......

House

First: Funniest thing we saw on the freeway, and only in OKLAHOMA!!!
Last weekend we made a trip to OK for some house shopping and came out successful. We were a little nervous, there were a couple people looking at the same houses as us and were afraid they would take our favorite house that was close to friends. But- we got it!! Now the fun part begins of packing up the house and trying to relax while Ben is out of school for a while. Hard to combine the two but we are very exciting we have a place to live once we leave. Baby news, Lincoln is kind of sitting up on his own and ready to rock and roll on the ground. Hopefully the other two will watch him and want to do the same so he won't overpower the other two. He is already rolling over Carter while they sleep, but luckily Carter doesn't care and will just look at him wondering what is going on. Life is fun!!

Lifesaver Lynn

We have awesome friends here in Colorado that are always so willing to help out with kids. Even great friends that are willing to watch the kids this weekend so we can take a trip to Oklahoma to look for a house to rent. And I had a great job at the hospital before the kids came along. Towards the end of the pregnancy I could take days off to shorten my hours, or breaks to go to my ongoing appointments, co-workers would help out so I wouldn't have to carry heavy things or walk around too much, a manager that worked with me and my maternity leave- definitely was a fantastic job all around. The best part about it was Lynn. She was a Case Manager/RN over the docs and decided she was done. Lynn retired end of the year, called me up and said when can I come help?? My usual response is whenever you feel like it. So we decided Tuesdays and Thursdays would work best. I thought this would last a couple weeks and then she'll be done with her baby fix. Nope. She is the kids adopted Grandma since they don't have any in CO. She has been coming for months allowing me to run errands, take naps, do some hair, go out with Ben... just a stress relief for me when the babes are having a rough day. She is bummed we are moving thinking she'll be bored, what am I going to do without her?? I can handle days by myself, but I think it is only because I have her a couple times a week. So besides getting this miracle babies, I got an Angel Grandma Lynn to come with them to give us some sanity. Thanks for all your help and we are going to miss you! Hopefully you can test out your motorhome in OK sometime!

BBQ's are the BeSt

Last weekend we had a neighborhood/friend BBQ. Our neighbor Angela is awesome, so her and another friend Ashley put it together. The end of April you would hope for nice weather, but because something was planned it was only in the 40's- luckily no rain. Here are a few pics.
Ben is ALWAYS running around with the kids and the picture with him in the dogpile is a classic. Seriously happens every time there is a group of kids around. We are definitely going to miss our friends here, hopefully something good happens in Oklahoma!
And a pic of Carter and Stephen (Ashley and Angela's boys). They were hilarious. Full on wrestling, It was Great!
Also Goodbye to the Bentley's. They are back to AZ. Don't mind the slobber on the shoulder, I sure love my kids!!
